Iron can be very dangerous if you don't need it, and ferritin alone isn't a good marker for determining whether or not you have an iron deficiency. If you're taking iron supplements based on one ferritin reading then this is a must-listen.

I go into why iron is useless without copper, how one may become iron toxic and the dangers of iron toxicity, why most people likely don't need iron supplements, the best tests to determine a true iron deficiency, and more.
