Your genes load the gun but it's your diet and lifestyle that pull the trigger. I find when someone hears this they fall into one of two camps:

1. This information is too much responsibility plus, it means having to take a good look at your diet and lifestyle and actually make some changes. For many, this is a hard ask.

2. For others, this information is EMPOWERING, and this is how I encourage you to view it, too. How amazing is it that our genes are not our fate if we so choose? Or at least, so “try”- there are no guarantees.
